The Annual Fund

A foundation of 75-plus years has enabled this School to continually grow and evolve, ensuring that we meet the reflection of the students before us. This strength has been forged through the collective efforts of teachers, parents, alumni, and administrators — working together to ensure that The Waldorf School of Garden City remains relevant and continues to flourish. The world has changed in countless ways since that first graduating class, but an enduring constant is our School’s profound and lasting impact on the young people in the classrooms, along with the families and friends who support them.

The Annual Fund is the single most important fundraising activity for the School each year – it covers the difference between tuition revenue and the ever-increasing costs of operating our School so that hundreds of students every year can experience the difference of a Waldorf education. The Annual Fund also supports important professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.

Making a gift to the Annual Fund offsets costs that are not covered by tuition and makes a major difference in the lives of our students, employees, and community.

Your tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund ensures the continued vibrancy of Waldorf Education for our children. Gifts directly support:

• Class trips to Camp Glen Brook for grades 3-12;
• Professional development and mentorship support for faculty and staff members;
• Additional support in Lower School classrooms with assistants;
• Tuition support for families with financial need;
• Developing and furthering our connection as a community to Waldorf Education through a Family Lecture Series;
• Continued maintenance and advancements to School Information Systems including network, phone lines, and cybersecurity;
• Capital improvements and upgrades to our buildings and grounds; and
• Ensuring affordability of after-school clubs, activities, and sports programs.
