Parent & Child Program
“In the first seven years, education is essentially a matter of example and love.”
-Rudolf Steiner
Our Parent and Child Program warmly welcomes parents, guardians, and caregivers with children ages 1–3 to gather weekly in a peaceful, home-like setting. Guided by a Waldorf-trained teacher, these two-hour classes offer a gentle introduction to school life rooted in rhythm, imitation, and meaningful activity.
Through simple, nourishing experiences—baking, singing, storytelling, handwork, and play—children thrive in an unhurried environment while caregivers find support and inspiration for daily family life.

All Classes for Summer 2026 will be taught by Abby Kim
Each gathering follows a calm, predictable rhythm aligned with the natural pace of young children. Together, we:
- Knead bread dough and prepare simple food in community
- Encourage imaginative free play with open-ended toys made of wood, wool, and silk
- Practice quiet handwork while observing children’s exploration
- Share a wholesome snack or lunch of homemade organic bread, freshly churned butter, fruit, and (in afternoon classes) vegetarian soup
- Sing seasonal songs, recite fingerplays, and enjoy a puppet story
- Explore the outdoors daily on our playground, garden, and nature trail—rain or shine
“Receive the children in reverence, educate them in love, and send them forth in freedom.”
– Rudolf Steiner

The Experience
Children benefit from a secure, joyful rhythm that supports imagination, independence, and social development.
Caregivers slow down, observe with greater presence, and engage creatively through handwork and thoughtful conversation. Guided parenting dialogue offers practical wisdom and encouragement.
Together, families build meaningful connections in a technology-free environment where community, conversation, and shared experience flourish.
“The child’s environment should be such that it allows the forces of imitation to work in a healthy way.”
-Rudolf Steiner

It’s so rewarding to watch my child learn through play—and to be part of that journey together. This class has strengthened our connection and created memories we’ll always cherish.”
