International Students

At The Waldorf School of Garden City, ideas and people cross more than academic disciplines – they transcend languages and nations. The Waldorf School of Garden City is committed to developing an international network of scholars that spans the continents. Currently, 10% of our matriculated high school student body represents countries outside of the United States. Our international students enrich our school environment with their different experiences, perspectives, and cultures.

International Applicants are asked to complete the same application process as domestic students.

Steps for Applying

  1. Create a Blackbaud account and complete the application form.
  2. Deadlines:
    Priority Admissions Deadline for 2026-27 School Year: January 31, 2026
    Standard Admissions Deadline for the 2026-27 School Year: February 28, 2026
    After February 28th, applications are considered on a rolling basis for classes with space available.
  3. Upload report cards from the prior two years.
  1. Request 2 recommendations – one from a current teacher and another from a prior year’s teacher.
  2. Class visit (if applicable)
    • Candidates applying to grades 1-12 will visit for 2-3 days and attend classes in their current grades. During the visit, we can learn more about candidates as they participate in class while giving them the chance to meet future peers and experience Waldorf.
  3. Decisions:
    • Candidates will receive admissions decisions on a rolling basis.
  4. International Applicants applying to Grades 6 and above must submit either Duolingo English Test results, TOEFL Junior (Grades 6-8), or TOEFL (Grades 9-12) scores, in addition to all the required documents listed above.
  5. After all the documents are received, candidates will be invited to a Zoom interview.

We continue to accept applications for the 24-25 school year on a rolling basis for classes with space available.
