Maria Maragos

Maria Maragos is a Lead Parent & Child teacher at The Waldorf School of Garden City, inspired by simplicity parenting, conscious parenting, and a deep love of nature. Her connection to WSGC began while attending classes as a new mom of two – an experience that continues to gently shape her work.  With both professional training and lived experience, Maria is honored to walk alongside families, guiding growth through play, imitation, and gentle rhythm. She holds a Leading with Wisdom & Heart certificate and is currently a student of Transformative Presence at WSGC, as well as the Mindful Outdoor Guide program at Kripalu. Maria earned a Bachelor’s Degree in communications and previously worked as a Line Producer in television production.  She treasures the class as a meaningful pause in busy days – a space where children can flourish, and where parents feel supported.

Maria also leads outdoor Parent & Child programs at Orkestai Farm and Garvies Point Museum and Preserve, inviting families to explore, wonder, and develop a lifelong friendship with the natural world.
