Camp Glen Brook recently hosted a Maple Sugaring Weekend for numerous families, alumni and friends. When was the sugar house built? Which Waldorf classes worked on which parts of the construction? And who designed it? (A correct answer to any of these questions will qualify.)
The Glen Brook Sugar House was actually designed by Waldorf alum and last year's recipient of the "Outstanding Alumnus Award," Charles Rose '78. It was constructed by many Waldorf classes during the 1980s and 1990s. As Principal Design Architect of Charles Rose Architects, Inc., his firm has completed many major projects throughout the United States such as the Shapiro Campus Center at Brandeis University and the acclaimed Camp Paint Rock in Wyoming - to name a few.
